Advocates for Responsible Sustainability (ARS) aims to bring together citizens, scientists and engineers, and other interested parties including, organizations, institutions, industries, and governments, for the purpose of Advocating for Responsible Sustainability practices and outcomes, worldwide. The ARS organization only hopes to provide a voice and path forward to obtain Responsible Sustainability as an outcome to benefit all Humanity and the Earth.
Advocates for Responsible Sustainability (ARS) is in the process of applying for 501 c3 or c4 status. Final status determination will be announced when available. Organization By-Laws and governing documents will be available upon request once complete. (these documents currently are under development)

Organization Structure and Governance:
ARS has an Executive Director (ED) who serves on the Board of Directors (BOD) and also reports to the Board. The ED is responsible for daily operation of ARS and is currently the Founder of ARS.
ARS Governance is through a Board of Directors (BOD): The BOD is responsible for oversight of all ARS operations, programs, content, and messaging, which is accomplished through the actions of the Executive Director and the Editorial Committee, both of which report to the BOD, and through sector editorial committees as described below. The BOD is currently being formed and will be announced below when available.
Editorial Committee (EC): The Editorial Committee, subject to BOD appointment and approval, is responsible for all ARS website and other published content and messaging.
Sector Content and Sector Editorial Content Committees (SCSECC): Each sector page and its content is the responsibility of an appointed Sector Content and Editorial Content Committee. The SCSECC's are chaired by an Expert Sector Editor (ESE). There may be additional ESE editors or contributors on an SCSECC for each sector, but only one editor will act as chair at any given time. All sector content is subject to EC approval.
How ARS Establishes and Promotes Research Programs and Policies: ARS program proposals, actions for research and implementation programs, and policy proposals and public advocacy, go through stages. This process is managed by the SCSECC's for each sector, with approval from the EC and BOD. EC and BOD approval is required before becoming an Active program. Each program proposal proceeds through stages for tracking as designated as below. Once in an advanced draft stage, programs will be posted on the website. Once Active all ARS programs will be archived regardless of outcome.
ARS programs are developed and financed through 2 pathways: 1) ARS proposed, developed and ARS funded, or 2) ARS or partner organization proposed, ARS works with partner organization to develop, and ARS, in combination with partner organization, funds program.

Programs in Active Stages: Active - Looking for Partners; Active - Paused for Revision; Active - In Process; Complete; Withdrawn
